OUR PROPHETIC HISTORY
When I was 17 years old, I had a powerful encounter with Jesus that marked me forever and caused me to surrender all to Him. Right after I gave my life fully to the Lord, I had a deep desire and appetite to share my faith and see the power of God manifested in public. I began to practice words of knowledge and offer to pray for healing out in public places. I was hungry to see breakthroughs but saw very little fruit in those first few years.
In 2010, I moved from Washington State to Ohio as a missionary with my parents and siblings, following a word from the Lord. Upon arriving in this new place, God began to stir my heart again for signs, wonders, and miracles in public settings. With little to no training, I started going out to pray for healing and practice words of knowledge. I think I prayed for hundreds before seeing consistent healings take place.
In 2011, I began going out every day at the same time and in the same place to pray for people. I started watching videos of Heidi Baker, Dr. Randy Clark, and others. After going out every day for a month, I began to see healings and people touched by the power of God. The floodgates opened, and for the next five years I saw thousands of healings take place on the streets and in church gatherings—but primarily on the streets. I also began to flow in words of knowledge with much accuracy.
During those years, I served at my local church, took teams out on the streets twice a week, and helped in a school of ministry. I met my wife, Meredith, who was serving as a local missionary in an after-school ministry. We fell in love, got married, and spent a summer in Redding with Ben Fitzgerald. Later that same year, I attended the Reinhard Bonnke School of Evangelism.
In 2011, a powerful event took place that has shaped the values of Love Pursuit International. I was at a prayer meeting, pressing in with the Lord for greater clarity and vision for my life calling. That day, I sat in prayer feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with my spiritual life. All I longed for was more of Jesus. As I saw the gap between who Jesus is and where I was personally, a deep cry rose up in my heart:
“Whatever the cost! Whatever it takes! I don’t want to stay the same. Jesus, reveal Yourself to me. I must be changed! I must be more like You.”
As this cry filled my heart, I left my chair and laid on my back on the floor. Just as my head hit the ground, I saw Jesus standing before me at the other end of the room. His eyes were burning with a blue flame. Jesus looked intently at me as if I was His very pursuit. There was a holy zeal in His face and eyes. He didn’t feel safe, but I knew He was good.
Jesus began to slowly make His way toward me, walking down the middle aisle of the chairs. Every step was intentional, but He wasn’t in a hurry. His arms were massive and strong—like a bodybuilder’s arms. One of Jesus’ greatest passions, figuratively speaking, is to “hit the gym” every day—because He loves to build up His body. He loves to see His Church healthy and strong.
Suddenly, Jesus was standing above me with His strong arms and burning eyes. He knelt down beside me, put His forearm behind my neck, and slowly lifted me up toward His chest. As I got closer and closer, I began to hear the sound of Christ’s beating heart: Ba-boom! Ba-boom! Like a rhythmic drum. As my ear rested tightly upon His chest, I heard His heart louder and clearer—and realized that His heart was beating my name:
“MI-CAH! MI-CAH!”
I couldn’t believe it. The sound of Jesus’ heart was so intense and overwhelming that I tried to pull away, but Jesus held my head all the tighter, as if to say, “I’m not done with you yet—you need to hear this!”
I heard it over and over again: MI-CAH! MI-CAH! John 3:16 was no longer just a verse—it was a revelation. In that moment, I knew how great His love was. As I lay there overwhelmed by His fiery love, I thought, “If His heart is beating my name, then it must be beating everyone else’s too!”
Suddenly, I started to hear a sound. It was the sound of Jesus’ beating heart—at first a roar, but it grew clearer. I realized it was made up of every name of every person on earth. It was like a giant football stadium: from a distance you hear a roar, but up close, you realize it’s made up of thousands of individual voices. That’s what His heart is like! From afar, we just hear the rhythm of the beat—but when we draw close, we find that His heartbeat is made up of every name of every person on the earth.
For all eternity and before time began, His heart has been beating with the names of every person—past, present, and future. Jesus freely gave His life on the cross because He so loves all humanity. From the prostitute to the pastor, the murderer to the mother, the rich to the poor—His heart beats for all. With His heart passionately beating for every man, woman, and child, He willingly went to the cross in a love pursuit for the world.
Now we are compelled by His love. We are motivated to partner with His love pursuit for humanity. Our pursuit and ambition are simple: receive His love, love Him (His presence and person) above everything, and share Him with our generation. We have given ourselves to present His heart to humanity and to raise up others to do the same.
In 2013, I had a vivid dream that Jesus was unleashing a love revolution in America that would begin powerfully in 2017. This movement would touch every part of society and impact every minority, religion, and people group.
Over the last 70 years, there has been a false love movement in America that has sought to redefine what love actually is. A whole generation has created its own idea of love, but God is now overthrowing the established social and governmental definitions of love and replacing them with His own. God is redefining what love looks like for America. His revealed love is His Son, Jesus. The good news of Jesus Christ is God’s love message to humanity. God’s definition of love is Jesus Christ hanging on a cross.
It’s time for the Church to rise up and bring the true love of God to humanity—to demonstrate and proclaim this love. Love looks like something. It looks like Jesus!
On May 14th, 2016, I attended a Randy Clark meeting. As I entered the room and saw Dr. Clark speaking on the stage, I began to shake. My bones rattled, and I started to cry. I shook so hard that I sat in the very back row. The whole time he spoke, I wept and trembled in my seat. I don’t even remember what Dr. Clark shared.
At the end of his message, he said there were at least twenty people in the room who had been shaking or feeling warmth while he spoke, and he invited us to come to the front. I was one of them. I ran forward, and one of his interns laid hands on me. I fell to the ground and continued to shake and weep. While on the floor, I heard the Lord say, “Do the crusade! Do the crusade!” I knew He was calling me to do a gospel campaign in my city—Springfield, Ohio. I got up off the floor with those words branded in me and a fresh touch from Jesus.
In the days that followed, I led 30 people to Christ in the first week! A wave of effectiveness in the Gospel came. We began to see people surrender to Christ daily. I started ministering in a youth detention center, and every time I went, we saw healings, miracles, and 90–100% of the residents respond to the Gospel.
As the fruit continued to grow, I knew it was time for the Gospel campaign. In 2017 by the leading of the Lord, we founded Love Pursuit International.
In the fall of that same year, with little experience or know-how, I began signing contracts for billboards, sound equipment, portable restrooms, staging, and lighting. I planned to host the event right in the center of the city. I shared the vision with pastors, and they began to sow finances and partner with us. A small Vineyard church was the first to give—offering an entire Sunday’s offering. Within a couple of months, we had raised all the funds (and extra) for the campaign.
We held prayer rallies in partnering churches and did prayer walks twice a week with teams. The day of the campaign came—September 15th, 2018. We had close to 100 volunteers and around 1,500 in attendance. That day, 17 people were water baptized, and at least 50 were born again. In the months that followed, crime rates in our city dropped dramatically.
From that impartation until now, we have seen thousands come to the Lord, be healed in their bodies, and be delivered from demonic oppression—through one-on-one evangelism, ministry in the detention center, youth gatherings, pastoring communities, and ministry in Mexico and other nations.
Over the years, we’ve endeavored to steward and share the fire we’ve received through books, training classes, pastoring, and the laying on of hands. I want to see multiplication in the body of Christ. It’s all a gift!
My prayer is that as we develop leaders, equip believers, multiply disciples, and plant strong communities we would see more souls saved, more healings, and more deliverance among the people Jesus loves so dearly. I am asking God for the nations—and together with Jesus, we are believing for the eight Great Lake States of America to be won for Him.
Yours in the harvest,
Micah Level
